Australia has decided to tighten restrictions on international travelers who will enter into the country has just started.
All the travelers will be sent straight to their hotels from the airport for self-isolation in a hotel room where they have to complete their 14 days period of quarantine in order to slow the spread of coronavirus.
It means all the international travelers including Australian citizens will not be allowed to complete 14 days of self-isolation periods at their homes and will be sent straight to state-run quarantine centers.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison said more than two-thirds of Australia’s known coronavirus cases could be attributed to people returning from overseas.
“For those who are seeking to make their way back, know these arrangements will be in place and they are mandatory,” he said.
